The Onyx (GPz.Ausf.3) is a wheeled light armored personnel carrier, armored to I.B. It predates the Republic — produced 2442–2454, originally by Fahrzeugfabrik Zalewski for the Artalan frontier militia (Kresowa Milicja Artalanu), with Waffenfabrik Zalewski taking over production once it was founded as a separate arms company in 2450. Absorbed into the Artalan Armed Forces along with the militia after 2451, the AAF then used the fleet as a rebuild/new-build platform for EW, air-defence and reconnaissance/sensor fits. Superseded from 2455 by the modernized Ausf.4 (see CATALOG_ZALEWSKI_ONYX4), though Ausf.3 hulls remain in service.
